Favor distributes thousands of bibles in printed and audio format in dozens of languages- through relationship- in every ministry we conduct. All PBS (Portable Bible School) graduates receive a Bible. The youth programs are diligently centered on a lifestyle of bible study. We teach adult literacy in the villages, which gives us the opportunity to use the bible as a primary resource for reading practice. Even through the two radio stations, we allow those who call in with a testimony of how the radio has impacted them are invited to the station to pick up a free bible.
With the majority of the populations we minister to, the Word is the essential core of our foundations. People across South Sudan and Uganda, and beyond, know that Favor is known for the Word of God in action, and for bibles. If one person can’t read, they find someone in the village who can and they have them read aloud every evening around the campfire, while the village families gather and listen. It’s a beautiful sight to see as God uses all avenues in Favor to deliver his Hope in his Word to all his people in Uganda and South Sudan.
“The news of it goes like wildfire across the bush! It’s amazing! We get calls from every corner and beyond-into Sudan-‘Bring us bibles! Bring us bibles! We heard you have bibles!'” -Carole Ward, Founder
In South Sudan, in order to stop violence, child abductions, and cattle raids, we must deliver the Word of God. As South Sudan is struggling to maintain their independence and stifle the violence in their country, we need bibles to support our efforts to disciple and heal hearts of the South Sudanese people. Favor’s initiative is to expend resources to order and distribute stocks of bibles, so that teams can go out to minister and supply bibles in our many avenues (i.e. prison ministry, door-to-door evangelism, PBS’s, radio ministry). We prioritize bible distribution by ordering bibles, storing them, and as well as hiring translation teams to provide bibles in new languages. Just in PBS graduations, an average of approximately 5,000 graduates will receive a bible. That means that an average of 5,000 bibles are being supplied to just PBS graduates.
Because 95% of rural people in South Sudan and Uganda are illiterate, they make much use out of audio bibles in their language- listening from prisons, cattle camps, rowing in a river fishing boat, farming in their fields, or sitting around their huts together. The audio format is extremely resourceful. As we grow our programs and resources, sometimes adult literacy programs aren’t just yet available to certain villages. But, thanks to the audio format, we can deliver the bible to all peoples faster and more resourcefully.
You can cause the Word of God to soar high at a whole new level in East Africa, blanketing the nations with truth, freedom, light, and healing. The hunger is there, the workers are ready, and the supply lines are ready to be fueled. Favor’s costs for Bible distribution include not only the printing, but storage, transportation, and hiring translation workers for bringing the Word to unreached people groups.
It is the strength and power of God’s Word that is bringing national transformation, village by village and tribe by tribe. We are overwhelmed with joy and about the prospect of Bibles saturating these nations – and the truth of God’s Word setting people free in all tribes and languages!
We are honored and appreciate you so much, as do the spiritually hungry people here from every tribe and every language. Thank you.
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David”

The cry for Bibles is desperate and universal. In most villages, Bibles are not available for purchase, even if money were no object, much less a Bible in the local language.Read More
